You know that couple – friends or family of yours – that has an everlasting relationship? We all know one, at least. The couple who can make it through anything. You know they aren’t perfect, but somehow they make it look easy. They have been through all of life’s ups and downs and still managed to stay together. To stay in love! Well, that is Katie and Dan. They just celebrated 20 years of marriage! And how did they choose to celebrate? With a beautiful vow renewal at Macao Beach in Punta Cana!
Let me tell you all about Macao Beach and vow renewals in Punta Cana, and then I’ll show you some photos from their special day. Here are a few to tide you over:
Macao Beach in Punta Cana
Macao Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Dominican Republic. Golden sand, turquoise blue water, palm trees, and lush greenery. It has everything you need for a beautiful photoshoot or vow renewal ceremony.
So how do you get there? Well, it’s about 35 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport. But you’ll probably head there straight from your resort. Especially if you’re booking a Vow Renewal Photoshoot. So we’ll make it easy. We’ll pick you up and take you to the beach for the photoshoot.
If you’re staying in Bavaro, it’s about 20-25 minutes driving. If your resort is in Uvero Alto, you’ll only be about 10-15 minutes away.
Staying in Cap Cana or in Miches? It’s a little bit further for you… You’ll probably be looking at 45 minutes to 1 hour to get there. But it’s definitely worth the trip.
Even if you’re not going for a photoshoot, Macao Beach is a nice place to spend the day, to eat some fresh fish, and to play in the water. You may even try a little surfing! Are you up for the challenge?
Whatever the reason, you’ll love your time at Macao Beach. Check out this photoshoot to learn more! Now, how about this view?
Plan a Vow Renewal at Macao Beach
Whether you’ve been married for one year or 50, it’s always a good time to renew your vows. To tell your spouse how much they mean to you. To recommit yourselves to one another. And to celebrate your love!
Planning a vow renewal ceremony can be incredibly simple if that’s what you want. If you don’t want to have “a second wedding” or stress about all the little details trying to plan a big event, then make it easy! Have a vow renewal ceremony at Macao Beach.
All you need is a nice outfit and a copy of your wedding vows. If you want to write new vows, go for it! Make sure they come from the heart. Talk about your experience being married so far. How much you’ve loved growing together. And what you plan to do going forward. Because your love is forever, right?
Once you’ve got that down, all you need to do is book a photographer. (That’s where we come in!) We’ll pick you up from your resort and take you to Macao Beach for the photoshoot.
You’ll read your vows to one another, and we’ll be there to capture the moment – with a beautiful background of blue waves on one side and palm trees on the other. Doesn’t that sound magical?
What else do you need for your vow renewal at Macao Beach? Nothing! It’s that simple.
However, if you are looking for something a little more extravagant, read through this Guide to a Vow Renewal Ceremony in the Dominican Republic, and check out this Vow Renewal Ceremony at Jellyfish for ideas.
Katie & Dan’s Vow Renewal at Macao Beach
Okay, so you’ve already seen some of their photos, but let me tell you about this beautiful couple. They’ve been married 20 years! Can you believe that? They’re still so young! But it’s true!
They decided to renew their vows on the beautiful beaches of the Dominican Republic, with one other couple by their side. As Katie and Dan read their vows to one another, they laughed and cried, reminiscing on the past and committing to each other once again.
Their friends shared some heartfelt words as well, and then to end their ceremony, they toasted with some champagne. Because what vow renewal would be complete without a little champagne?
Afterward, we spent some time taking photos of the four of them. Then, we pulled Katie and Dan aside to get some romantic couple’s photos. Katie had a beautiful blue and white bouquet that complemented the colors of the ocean and the colors in her wedding ring.
As we continued to photograph them, you’ll notice the dark clouds moving in. It kept getting darker and darker. Finally, the skies opened up and it started pouring rain. But they didn’t mind! We kept shooting. We all got completely soaked, but we got some of the best photos from the whole session. Never let a little rain get in the way of a good time.
Just take a look for yourself!
Gorgeous, right? What a beautiful way to celebrate 20 years of marriage! Congratulations Katie & Dan!
