During your photoshoot we’ll capture you walking along the shoreline, playing in the water, relaxing on the sand under the palm trees or venturing out onto the pier. We’ll guide you throughout your session, give you simple directions when needed and capture the candid moments in between, so just relax and enjoy your time together! One of the things we love most about Playa Juanillo is how versatile it is. Playa Juanillo Photoshoots from Cap Cana Resorts
If you’re staying at a resort within Cap Cana, getting to Playa Juanillo is very convenient. You don’t need to arrange transportation to another part of Punta Cana and you don’t have to pay an additional beach photoshoot fee simply because you’re having professional photos taken.
Our photography packages include transportation and your photographer can pick you up directly from your resort. Just let your resort’s guest services team know that you have a photographer coming to pick you up and they will arrange the photographer’s access to Cap Cana and coordinate the entrance so we can meet you in the resort lobby. It’s a simple process, but it’s worth arranging in advance so everything goes smoothly on the day of your photoshoot.
Playa Juanillo Photoshoots from Vacation Rentals in Cap Cana
The process is a little different if you’re staying in a vacation rental or private villa but it’s still easy. Because access to Cap Cana is controlled, your host or villa manager can help make the necessary entrance arrangements for your photographer.
We recommend letting them know about your photoshoot ahead of time so they can coordinate access with Cap Cana security. Once we’re inside, we’ll pick you up from your accommodation and head to Playa Juanillo.
What If You’re Staying Outside Cap Cana?
If you’re staying at a resort, hotel or vacation rental outside of Cap Cana, an entrance fee is required to access the Cap Cana community. The fee is usually around $20–$30 per person, depending on whether your photoshoot falls on a weekday, weekend or holiday. This is an entrance fee to access Cap Cana, not an additional photography fee charged by us.
There are plenty of other beautiful beaches around Punta Cana where we can photograph your session if you’d prefer to avoid any additional fees. But if you’d like to visit a different area of Punta Cana, have a photoshoot at the beautiful Playa Juanillo and don’t mind paying a little more, then just let us know where you’ll be staying and we’ll make all the arrangements!
The Best Time for a Playa Juanillo Photoshoot
Juanillo looks beautiful throughout the day, but we particularly love photographing here in the morning or during the evening around sunset. Morning sessions can be great if you prefer brighter, fresh looking beach photos with vibrant colours. During evening session, the sunset gives us more dramatic photos as the light becomes softer and warmer creating beautiful conditions for romantic couples’ portraits, maternity sessions and proposals.
Morning sessions are scheduled to start between 8-9am, depending on how early you’d like to get up while enjoying your vacation. For evening sessions, the time varies depending on the season and what time the sun is setting. During the winter months, the sun sets around 6pm, so we’ll start your photoshoot at 4:30pm to ensure we have at least an hour before the light starts to fade. In the summer, the sun sets closer to 7pm so we’ll usually start your session at 5:30pm.
Weekdays vs. Weekends at Playa Juanillo
Although Playa Juanillo is generally quieter than many of the more popular beaches in Punta Cana, it isn’t completely empty all the time and weekends and holidays can be a bit busier. If having a quieter beach is important to you, a weekday morning would be the best choice.
We regularly do photoshoots at Playa Juanillo and know how to work around any people or activity that may be on the beach. There’s plenty of space and different areas to use as backgrounds, well away from other guests who stay closer to the beach club restaurant and bar.
