I’m so excited to share Katie and Brandon’s wedding trailer with you today! They are just the sweetest couple from Greenville, South Carolina, and they had a beautiful wedding at Huracan Cafe. You won’t want to miss it!
I’ll tell you a little bit about the venue, then give you some ideas of where to stay nearby. After that, I’ll tell you more about this lovely couple, and finally, I’ll show you their wedding trailer. Ready? Me too!
Huracan Cafe
This is one of my favorite wedding venues in Punta Cana. If you love rustic, beachy vibes, then you will absolutely adore this venue. It’s right on the beach, located in the heart of Bavaro.
And you know what that means:
Soft white sand. Lush green palm trees. And what about that giant pirate ship floating in the water? This beach is Insta-famous!
It’s the perfect spot to say your vows, celebrate your love, and dance the night away. And let’s not forget about capturing that romantic wedding trailer and the wedding photos that will allow you to remember this day for the rest of your lives!
Huracan Cafe may just be the wedding venue of your dreams. Their amazing wedding planner, Natalia Roldan, and her team will help make your dreams come true. You’re going to have the most beautiful beach wedding. Need some tips? Check out 15 Tips For Planning an Unforgettable Beach Wedding
But now you may be wondering… Where do you and your guests stay if you don’t get married at a resort?
Where to Stay for your Off-Resort Wedding in Punta Cana
There are dozens of resorts within 5-10 minutes of Huracan Cafe.
My top recommendation is Paradisus Grand Cana if you’re looking for a relaxing, luxurious vacation. It’s a family-friendly resort with a water park for the kids, and honestly, the hotel is great for all ages. The rooms are nice, the food is good – the only downside is that it’s a little on the pricier side.
Dreams Royal Beach and Paradisus Palma Real are great options that are a little more affordable.
Looking for an adults-only resort? Secrets Royal Beach and Barcelo Bavaro Beach are both great resorts.
If you’d prefer to be in a completely different area, and you don’t mind a bit of a drive (20-30 minutes), check out Hard Rock Punta Cana or Royalton Bavaro.
You can’t go wrong staying at any of these resorts!
Now let’s get back to the main task at hand. I know you’re ready to see their wedding trailer already!
Katie & Brandon’s Wedding Trailer at Huracan Cafe
Like most of our couples, Katie and Brandon had never been to Punta Cana before. They decided they wanted to do things a little differently than most of their friends who got married back home. Isn’t a destination wedding the perfect way to switch things up?
They had a beautiful ceremony under the palm trees at Huracan Cafe, surrounded by their closest family and friends. Actually, they had a pretty big guest list for destination wedding standards: Around 60 guests! And it was a blast!
One of the most special moments was when their officiant asked each of these guests to close their eyes and think of the best memory they have with Katie and Brandon. He then asked them to surround the couple with love and support and send that memory to the heavens in the hopes of giving a beautiful beginning for this new chapter in their lives.
Is that not the sweetest thing you’ve ever heard? It was such a romantic and heartfelt gesture. And this couple was truly surrounded with love.
