Imagine coming to the Dominican Republic for a wonderful vacation with family and friends while also celebrating one of the biggest days of your life. Sometimes dreams really do come true. For Claire and Brett, this dream became a reality when they held their wedding at Kukua Punta Cana.

Kukua is one of my favorite off-resort wedding venues, and I’m so excited to share some details and some wedding photos with you here. I dare you not to fall in love with this place!

First, I’ll tell you all about the venue. Then I’ll show you a little snapshot of Claire and Brett’s wedding at Kukua Punta Cana. Finally, you may fall in love with our photography style and decide you want our team to be a part of your wedding day. We’d love to be there to capture all these special memories. So let’s see what happens next.

Kukua Restaurant in Punta Cana

This beautiful wedding venue, restaurant, and beach club is located between Grand Bahia Principe and RIU Palace Punta Cana. It is also conveniently located near many other resorts in Bavaro and Punta Cana. Kukua is right on the beach with stunning views of the ocean, white sand, and palm trees. So it really is a beautiful place to get married!

A huge part of why I love Kukua is because of their awesome service and delicious cuisine. They offer some of the freshest seafood in the area, and everything tastes amazing. If you’re not into seafood, it’s no problem! They have a ton of different menu options to satisfy every palette. Plus their staff takes great care of guests who have food allergies to ensure everything is safe.

You and your guests will be obsessing over your wedding dinner and wanting to come back for more.

Not to mention:

The wedding planners are Kukua are beyond fantastic. They will help you plan the most amazing day and bring your wedding dreams to life.

Weddings at Kukua Punta Cana

Here’s the truth: You can have a beautiful venue, the most amazing wedding dress, and awesome ideas for your beach wedding, but it might not come together like you’re imagining if you don’t have the right wedding planner by your side.

Thankfully, this isn’t something you have to worry about when planning your wedding at Kukua Punta Cana. Mayte and her team are on another level, way above all the resorts in town, and this is why we love working with them. Mayte is an incredible wedding planner and designer, and she makes every vision come to life. I’m always blown away by her designs, and I know our brides are too.

Kukua might look small, but it can actually hold around 300 people (which may be unlikely for a destination wedding, but it’s still important to know.) That being said, it is still cozy and private so you can expect an intimate feel no matter what the size of your guest list is. Here’s an elopement to prove it.

When you get married at Kukua, you’ll get to choose between a beach ceremony or under the covered palapa. Both are great since you’ll have stunning views of the ocean, but if you’d rather stay out of the sun or get some coverage in case of rain, the palapa is a good choice.

After the ceremony, photo sessions, and cocktail hour, you’ll head into the beautiful restaurant for dinner and speeches. Remember earlier when I mentioned the food at Kukua? Yep, it might just be the best meal of your entire vacation.

Finally, you and your guests will head out to the dancefloor to get the real party started. Enjoy it! And if you want to jump into the pool at the end of the night, just do it!

Claire & Brett’s Wedding at Kukua Punta Cana

This beautiful couple is from Ajax, Ontario, and decided it was time for a sunny vacation outside of the Canadian winter. They had been to Punta Cana many times and knew that it would be an excellent place to celebrate their wedding. And they were right!

Claire and her bridesmaids got ready in the spacious, air-conditioned bridal suite at Kukua. Then Brett came later with his groomsmen to get dressed and prepare for the day. The bride and groom had a quick first look in the restaurant before heading to their unplugged wedding ceremony.

They had a beautiful wedding ceremony right on the beach, and then continued to celebrate their love with a tasty dinner, some hilarious speeches, and an awesome dance party. It was an amazing wedding that they will all remember for the rest of their lives.

Have a look at Claire & Brett’s special day, filled with love, laughter, and fun. And I can tell you that if their wedding photos don’t make you want to book a ticket to the Dominican Republic, nothing will!
