Have you been dreaming of getting married but the stress of planning a wedding seems like too much to bear? From deciding who of your family and friends to invite to planning all the details and trying to ensure that everything is perfect. And let’s not forget about actually paying for it all. Wouldn’t it be easier to run away to an island and just elope? I know it’s probably crossed your mind a time or two before. And why not? Here I’ll show you a beautiful elopement at Kukua Beach Club in Punta Cana. Then hopefully it will make your decision a little bit easier!

Reasons Why You Should Elope

It’s honestly such a tough decision to decide to elope. Will your friends and family be upset? Are you disappointing someone? Will you regret it later on? These are all good questions to ask yourself when considering an elopement.

If you’re on the fence, here are a few reasons you should elope.

  • For financial reasons. Traditional weddings are expensive. Destination weddings are expensive, too. If you can’t afford it, or quite frankly, if you’d rather spend your money on something else, then it may be time to consider eloping.
  • You want your day to be about you! Sometimes we get so lost in wedding traditions that our wedding day becomes about everyone else. You’re trying to make mom and dad happy or please your future in-laws by inviting all of their family and friends (people you don’t really know – or haven’t seen in ten years). If you want to focus only on each other and your commitment to spending the rest of your lives together, then an elopement is probably a good choice.
  • You don’t have the time or energy to plan a big wedding. It’s okay! There’s no shame in it. You may start planning a traditional wedding and decide it’s just too much. Maybe you can’t find a venue or your guest list just keeps getting longer and longer. Life is stressful enough. Make it easier on yourself and plan an elopement instead.
  • You want to explore a new place. If you love to travel and want to turn your wedding celebration into a luxurious vacation, then elopement is an excellent option. Plus, you’ll get some epic wedding photos to cherish for the rest of your days!

So what do you think? Are you convinced? If not, let me tell you about an amazing elopement venue option.

Elopement at Kukua Beach Club – Nikola & Jozef

These two lovebirds came to Punta Cana all the way from Presov, Slovakia! It’s a long trip but it’s worth it, too! Nikola and Jozef had never been to the Dominican Republic before, but they’re beach people (and enjoy drinking rum) so they figured, why not?

They had a beautiful wedding ceremony on the beach, complete with a sand ceremony to represent their two lives coming together as one. This is a great addition to any wedding and leaves you with a nice keepsake to take back home. You can display it in your house and each time you walk by it, you’ll be reminded of your beautiful wedding day and your precious union.

Nikola and Jozef wanted to get married, just the two of them, and combine their destination wedding with a little honeymoon too. It’s hard to find a better place than Punta Cana to celebrate love, enjoy the sunshine, and relax on the beach. Check out some photos from their elopement at Kukua Beach Club down below.
