Are you getting married at The Palms Villa in Punta Cana? Or are you looking for a destination wedding venue in the Dominican Republic? Maybe you’re here to check out our wedding photography. Whatever the reason, I’m happy to have you here!

I’ll tell you a little bit about The Palms Punta Cana and what you can expect when planning an off-resort wedding. Then I’ll show you Robyn and Gerry’s gorgeous wedding at The Palms.

The Palms Punta Cana Villa

When you arrive at the Punta Cana International Airport, you’ll be greeted by warm, humid air and sparkling sunshine. You’ll be ready to grab a cold one and jump into your swimsuit to head to the pool.

First, you’ll probably want to get to your destination. You’ll head to Uvero Alto, about 40 minutes away from the airport, where you’ll find a beautiful villa waiting for you. You’ll be greeted by smiling faces as you check in and choose your room. That’s right, you get to decide which room you’ll sleep in. But don’t stress too much. They’re all fantastic!

It sleeps up to 30 guests which is the perfect amount for a small, intimate wedding. There are 13 suites that look out over the water, and one with a view of the lush, green gardens. You really can’t go wrong with any of them.

Did I mention:

The Palms Punta Cana is a completely private villa so you and your guests will have the place to yourself. What better way to celebrate your wedding than by spending a week with your closest family and friends?

Now that you’ve chosen your room, I know that you’re ready to jump into the pool. There’s an entire 150-foot pool waiting for you! Or maybe the beach is more your style? Take a few extra steps and you’ll feel the sand between your toes. Go ahead! Jump into that gorgeous blue water.

Once you’ve cooled off, head to the bar for a passion fruit mojito! But don’t go too far just yet. We’re going to take a few minutes to talk about wedding venues in Punta Cana.

Planning an Off-Resort Wedding in Punta Cana

If having a big resort wedding doesn’t seem like the right choice for you, I recommend taking a look at off-resort wedding venues in Punta Cana. You’ll have so much more flexibility when it comes to planning, decor, and menu options, and the communication with your wedding planner will be 100 times better.

Plus, you just can’t beat the privacy that these off-resort venues offer. Having a private venue for your wedding can make all the difference! You won’t have dozens of hotel guests walking through your ceremony or standing in the background of all of your photos. You won’t have loud speakers blasting music, interfering with your carefully crafted wedding day playlist.

And best of all?

It will only be you and your favorite people around. Everyone there is truly there to celebrate your love. It’s all about you and your groom.

The Palms Villa Weddings

This is seriously a dream wedding venue for couples looking to have an intimate wedding in Punta Cana. If you’re a more private couple, you’ll feel right at home here.

Their wedding packages are based on 30 guests, but if you’re expecting a bigger guest list, they can accommodate larger parties too. There are plenty of all-inclusive resorts nearby The Palms Punta Cana, so your guests can stay nearby and come to your wedding without any issues.

Whether you want to keep your wedding simple with minimal decor, or you want to splurge on all the extras, they’ll be happy to make it work for you. Kelly Seltzer, the wedding planner, will take care of everything to make sure your wedding is everything you’ve been dreaming of!

The entire staff at The Palms Punta Cana is amazing! They’re friendly, accommodating, and will quickly become friends during your stay. They have a passion for hospitality, and they’re really good at it too! You won’t be disappointed.

My favorite part as a wedding vendor:

They don’t charge any vendor fees! This can make or break your wedding budget at a resort, so you’re in luck if you don’t have to worry about it. Feel free to bring your favorite hair and makeup artist, wedding officiant, photographer, and videographer. Whoever you want! Craft a team of amazing vendors and you know your wedding day is going to be a success!

Speaking of wedding day success, let’s talk about a real wedding at The Palms.

The Palms Villa Punta Cana Wedding – Robyn & Gerry

This beautiful couple from Jacksonville, Florida had a bright and beautiful wedding in Punta Cana. With vibrant green monstera leaves, pink ginger flowers, and orange birds of paradise, their decor was glowing! Add in the deep orange anthurium flowers and roses in every color, and you’ve got the perfect setup for a tropical wedding.

Robyn had a gorgeous half-sleeve wedding dress, and Gerry was dressed in a classic three-piece suit. Needless to say, they both looked stunning!

Remember how I mentioned that The Palms could accommodate more than 30 guests? Well, that’s exactly what happened at Robyn and Gerry’s wedding! They had about 55 guests attend their destination wedding, and it was a blast!
