Getting Ready for the Big Day
The day began with all the excitement that comes with a tropical destination wedding. Olivia got ready surrounded by her closest friends, laughter, and a few happy tears. Her soft, beachy look perfectly matched the day’s boho chic and slightly rustic theme, relaxed but elegant, effortless yet refined.
Meanwhile, Corey and his groomsmen prepared for the day in their beige suits, keeping things classic and fresh against the Punta Cana sunshine. The bridesmaids wore light pink, floor-length flowy dresses that complemented the neutral tones of the day beautifully. Together, the wedding party looked like they stepped right out of a destination wedding magazine.

First Look & Beachside Romance
Before the ceremony, Olivia and Corey shared a private first look which is always one of our favorite parts of any wedding day. There’s something so genuine about that moment when a couple sees each other for the first time. All the nerves melt away, replaced by excitement and emotion. For these two, it was a mix of happy tears and huge smiles as they read their vows to each other during their private moment.
Huracan Beach Club is the perfect backdrop for moments like this. With its soft sand, swaying palms, and ocean views, it feels private and intimate while still capturing all the beauty of Punta Cana’s coastline. Every angle gives you something stunning which, of course, makes it a dream for photography.
A Beach Ceremony with Boho Chic Vibes
Olivia and Corey’s ceremony took place right on the beach, framed by a soft breeze and the sound of waves in the background. The setup was simple yet breathtaking: soft colors, white floral arrangements, and a boho chic touch that perfectly matched the relaxed, romantic mood of the day.
As Olivia walked down the aisle, surrounded by friends and family, the emotion in the air was undeniable. The ceremony was heartfelt and filled with laughter, the kind of moment where everyone forgets about everything else and just soaks in the love.
We always love photographing ceremonies at Huracan Beach Club because every detail is so thoughtfully designed. The venue’s beach area has just the right mix of rustic charm and modern style, giving couples the best of both worlds.
Cocktail Hour & Newlywed Photos
After saying “I do,” it was time for cocktail hour! Guests enjoyed drinks and tropical bites as the newlyweds took a few minutes for photos along the shoreline. The golden hour light was absolutely perfect, soft, warm, and magical.
Huracan’s surroundings offer a mix of beach, palm trees, and cozy corners for portraits, which means every shot looks straight out of a postcard. Olivia and Corey were naturals in front of the camera, all smiles, laughter, and that just-married glow.
These portraits are always some of our favorite moments of the day. After all the buildup and excitement, couples finally get a chance to breathe, be together and let it all sink in, and it always shows in the photos.
Dinner, Dancing & Celebration Under the Stars
As the sun set, guests made their way to the reception area where the party truly began. The setup was elegant yet relaxed with wooden accents, twinkling lights, and soft tones that gave everything a romantic beachy glow.
Dinner was filled with speeches, laughter, and heartfelt toasts. The first dance brought smiles all around, and soon after, the dance floor was packed. From the father–daughter dance to the cake cutting, every moment flowed naturally and joyfully.
Then came the Hora Loca and if you’ve never experienced one, it’s pure Dominican fun! Dancers in traditional costumes burst onto the dance floor with high energy, getting everyone on their feet. It’s one of those moments that turn a great wedding into an unforgettable one.
And just when you thought the night couldn’t get any more fun, fireworks lit up the Punta Cana sky! Guests cheered, danced, and celebrated like there was no tomorrow. But the night didn’t end there because this crew wasn’t done yet.
Ending the Night — Punta Cana Style
What better way to end a destination wedding than with a spontaneous pool jump? That’s exactly what Olivia and Corey did! Still in their wedding attire, they leapt into the pool surrounded by their cheering friends and family, the perfect finale to a day full of love, laughter, and celebration.

From Engagement to “I Do”
Before their wedding day, we actually had the chance to photograph Olivia and Corey during their engagement photoshoot at Playa Macao about 15 months earlier. They were visiting Punta Cana to check out their venue and meet with their wedding planner, and decided to make the most of their trip with a fun beach session.
Playa Macao is one of our favorite spots for engagement photos with wide stretches of sand, gorgeous turquoise ocean views, and that relaxed Dominican charm. It was such a joy to reconnect with them on their wedding day and see how their vision had come to life from those early planning stages to “I do.”
