You are going to fall in love with Gina and Carlos’ Kukua wedding in Punta Cana! From the gorgeous decor to their wedding ceremony right on the beach, every moment of their day was magical.

If you’re considering getting married in Punta Cana or booking us as your photography and videography team, then you’re in the right place!

Here I’ll tell you all about this stellar venue, and then I’ll show you a real Kukua wedding in Punta Cana.

Are you ready? Let’s go!

Kukua Beach Club and Restaurant

You may be wondering why I’m so obsessed with Kukua. After all, I write about them all the time… What more is there to say? But I honestly could rave about Kukua over and over again. They’re such a joy to work with and I know our brides are in good hands whenever they’re booked here.

First of all, their wedding planning team is incredible! They’re not like the rest of the wedding planners in Punta Cana who take months and months to reply to their brides. Kukua is actually quick with their responses. And they are so helpful! You’ll never feel alone on your wedding planning journey. They’ve got your back and will guide you every step of the way.

Next, let’s talk about the venue itself. Kukua is a dream come true! It’s right on the beach so you know your wedding photos are going to be stunning. You can choose the beach for your ceremony, or get married under La Palapa for a little relief from the sun. Then, when it’s time for the reception, you’ll be blown away by your wedding decor. Mayte and her team are so talented! You’ll feel like you’ve jumped straight into a magazine.

Oh, and I can’t forget to mention the food. It is soooo good! They only use the finest, freshest ingredients, and everything on their menu is delicious. You and your hubby (and probably your guests too) will be talking about this dinner for months after the wedding. It’ll definitely be the best meal you have on your vacation in Punta Cana.

Are you in love yet? Here are a few photos from the venue so you can see what I mean:

How to Get to Kukua Beach Club

You may be thinking that you love the venue, and it sounds like a great place for your wedding, but it just seems so complicated getting there on your wedding day. Maybe you’re nervous about leaving the resort… I know this is a common stressor for couples when booking an outside venue, but you really have nothing to worry about!

Aside from the fact that Punta Cana is a safe destination, Kukua can arrange transportation from your resort as part of your wedding package. No need to arrange taxis or take an Uber in your wedding dress. Kukua offers private transfers from your resort and back so you don’t have to worry about a thing!

They’ll also set up different pick-up times for you and your guests. You and your bridesmaids can head to the bridal suite early in the morning to start hair and makeup, then your groom will come for his getting ready and for the first look, and finally, your guests will come when it’s time for your wedding ceremony.

Isn’t that easy?

I’m telling you, there’s no need to stress. All of these little details are taken care of when you plan your Kukua wedding in Punta Cana.

Gina & Carlos’ Kukua Wedding in Punta Cana

These two have a beautiful love story! Gina is from Orange County and Carlos is from Miami, but they met in Washington where they were both stationed in the Navy. They’ve been together for ten years and always talked about traveling to the Dominican Republic but were never able to because of their deployment schedules. When it came time to choose a wedding destination, they knew this would be the perfect chance to visit the island.

Before I share some of their wedding photos, I have to share a quote from them that’ll make your heart melt.

When asked “What are your favorite things to do on the weekends”, this was their response:

“We just like to hang out with each other, whether it be grocery shopping, a quick run to the shopping mall, or going for lunch/dinner – even just sitting on the couch and taking turns playing video games or watching a new Netflix series, we just truly love to enjoy each others company and presence because for years we weren’t able to do that except through a phone screen. These past couple of years since we’re no longer in the military have really been about us and solidifying us. Just enjoying every moment of being together when we can.”

Isn’t that so beautiful? It’s the kind of love we all strive for.
