Choosing a venue for your destination wedding in Punta Cana can be stressful. You know you want a beautiful beach location, with good service, and even better food. It should be easily accessible to family, friends, and wedding vendors so you can celebrate your big day in style. And of course, they should have an awesome wedding planning team to make your life easier and guide you through every step of the way. The good news is, you don’t have to look too far: Kukua Beach Club Punta Cana has it all!
Let’s talk about this gorgeous venue and then I’ll show you a sneak peek of Jeanine & Manuel’s wedding album so you can decide for yourself if this is the venue for you. Trust me, it’ll be one of the best choices you make!
Kukua Restaurant and Beach Club
Getting married at Kukua will bring a whole new level of enchantment to your wedding day. They make you feel so special! And you simply can’t beat saying “I Do” on the beach with your toes in the sand and the turquoise blue ocean as your backdrop.
If the sand doesn’t thrill you, however, you can choose to get married in La Palapa instead! It’s a beautiful thatched-roof structure, that still boasts the gorgeous ocean view but offers a little more protection from the sun, wind, and rain. (But please, don’t stress about the weather on your wedding day.)
There’s really no need to stress. Especially when you have the Kukua wedding planning team on your side. Honestly. Forget what you’ve heard about how stressful it is to plan a wedding. It doesn’t have to be that way! At Kukua, you’ll be paired with the best wedding planners who will guide you every step of the way.
Just take a minute to look through their online reviews. You’ll see hundreds of couples praising Mayte and Rachel. (Hint: They totally deserve it!) Then spend some time scrolling through Kukua’s Pinterest page and you’ll understand exactly why. (No wonder Kukua is one of the most desired wedding venues in the Dominican Republic.)
I should also tell you:
Kukua Beach Club Punta Cana is known for its excellent cuisine. Expect fresh, local ingredients, and some of the best seafood in town! It’s not hard to beat resort food, but I promise you, your wedding dinner will be the best meal of your entire vacation. You may even want to plan an extra dinner at Kukua during your trip. The food is sooooo good!

When you’re planning a destination wedding, you also have to think about which resort you and your guests will stay at. Thankfully, there are hundreds of resorts in Punta Cana to choose from. But with so many options, it can be hard to narrow it down to just one. Thankfully, that’s why I’m here to help!
If you want to be right next door to Kukua, the RIU Resorts are on one side, and Bahia Principe Resorts are on the other. Both are within 5 minutes walking on the beach. If your guests are walking to Kukua on your wedding day, I’d recommend doing a test run (or walk) the day before. Kukua’s not hard to find, but it’s best to know exactly where to go, and to time out how long it takes from the rooms to the ceremony location so your guests arrive on time to your wedding.
If you don’t mind being a little further away from the venue, then the Majestic Resorts, Royalton Bavaro, and Royalton Punta Cana are great options! They’re still within 15-20 minutes walking on the beach, or about 10 minutes driving. I’d recommend arranging transportation for your guests if you stay at one of these resorts as it’s pretty hot to walk that far in wedding attire.
Another great option is Hard Rock Punta Cana. It’s definitely too far to walk on your wedding day, but it’s only about 15 minutes driving, and the resort is absolutely beautiful! They have a casino, ORO nightclub, and some of the best resort food in the area. But it’s a very large resort (the biggest in Punta Cana) so if you’re looking for a more intimate experience, then this is probably not the resort for you.
Jeanine & Manuel’s Destination Wedding
It’s time to see a real wedding at Kukua! Jeanine and Manuel are from Long Island, New York, and had been together for 13 years before getting married! These two love birds met in high school. How sweet is that?
Manuel has family in the DR so they decided it would be the perfect destination to get married and bring their families together. And what a great decision they made!
They had a big, beautiful celebration at Kukua. They skipped the first look and saw each other for the first time when Jeanine was walking down the aisle in La Palapa! The ceremony was short and sweet and full of love. It wasn’t until the reception that the tears started to flow. Those heartfelt speeches can get so emotional! But the tears dried quickly and then it was over to the dance floor. It was a great party, and one they will remember for the rest of their lives!
