The day started with getting ready coverage for both Jessica and Charles, and right away we knew this was going to be a fun one. Jessica and her bridesmaids were getting ready together, wearing matching pink satin pajamas, while Jessica stood out in a white satin set of her own. To make things even better, everyone rocked matching heart-shaped sunglasses. Playful, stylish, and perfect for photos!
The room was filled with laughter, music, and happy nerves as we documented all the little details: dresses hanging, shoes, jewelry, invitations, and those candid moments between friends that always end up being some of the most meaningful images from the day. Meanwhile, Charles and his groomsmen were getting ready with equal excitement, sharing jokes and soaking in the moment before the celebrations officially began.
A Bridesmaids-First First Look (Then the Big One)
Jessica decided to do something a little different and we absolutely loved it. Before seeing Charles, she shared a first look with her bridesmaids. The reactions were priceless: happy tears, gasps, and lots of hugs. It was such a sweet way to calm nerves and create an unforgettable moment with her closest friends before the ceremony.
Not long after, Jessica and Charles shared their first look together, just the two of them. These moments are always emotional, but this one felt especially genuine. With the tropical breeze, soft light, and the anticipation of the day ahead, it was the perfect way for them to connect privately before walking down the aisle.

The ceremony took place right on the beach at Kukua, and the conditions couldn’t have been better. Bright sunshine, blue skies, and the vivid turquoise of the Caribbean Sea created the most stunning backdrop. Kukua’s ceremony setups always feel elevated yet natural with elegant décor that enhances the surroundings rather than overpowering them.
With a huge wedding party of 10 bridesmaids and 10 groomsmen, the aisle was full of color, movement, and personality. As Jessica walked toward Charles, you could feel how present and emotional the moment was for everyone involved.
Rachel and Mayte, the incredible in-house wedding planners at Kukua, ensured everything flowed seamlessly. From timing to layout to guest experience, every detail was thoughtfully handled, allowing Jessica and Charles to truly enjoy their ceremony without worrying about a thing.
Cocktail Hour with Live Music & Ocean Views
Following the ceremony, guests moved into cocktail hour, where a violinist welcomed everyone with live music. This is one of our favorite ways to transition from ceremony to celebration as it instantly elevates the atmosphere and gives guests something special to enjoy while mingling.
With ocean views, tropical cocktails, and the golden afternoon light, cocktail hour felt relaxed, joyful, and very “Punta Cana.” While guests enjoyed themselves, we took Jessica and Charles for newlywed photos along the beach.

The weather that day was truly a photographer’s dream. The blues of the sea and sky were vibrant, the light was soft, and the beach felt calm and open. Jessica and Charles were naturals in front of the camera, which made capturing their connection effortless.
We explored the shoreline, using Kukua’s surroundings to create a variety of romantic, editorial, and candid images. These are always some of our favorite moments of the day. Just the couple, freshly married, soaking it all in.
A Reception Filled with Light, Love & Energy
As the sun set, the celebration continued into the reception space at Kukua. Twinkle lights glowed overhead, creating a warm, intimate atmosphere, and a large illuminated LOVE sign added a fun focal point to the dance floor.
The evening included heartfelt speeches, a joyful cake cutting, and a beautiful first dance that kicked off the party. Later in the night, Jessica changed into a second dress, a shorter fun reception look that was perfect for dancing, moving freely, and staying cool in the tropical evening heat. Outfit changes like this are becoming increasingly popular for destination weddings, and this one fit the vibe perfectly.
Dancing the Night & a Legendary Pool Jump
The energy stayed high, the dance floor stayed full, and guests were clearly having the time of their lives.
And then came the moment everyone will be talking about for years to come — a late-night jump into the pool, led by Jessica and Charles and quickly followed by their entire wedding party and several brave guests. It was spontaneous, fun, and the perfect way to end such an unforgettable day.
