When you hear destination wedding in the Dominican Republic, what first comes to your mind? Is it the beautiful turquoise beaches? The soft white sand? The luscious palm trees that constantly remind you you’re in paradise? Well, those are all great, but you should also be thinking of Jellyfish Restaurant in Punta Cana.

Jellyfish is a gorgeous beachfront restaurant and off-resort wedding venue in Bavaro, Punta Cana. If you’ve never heard of it before, get ready… You’re about to fall in love!

Here I’ll tell you all about the venue, and I’ll even show you a real-life wedding so you can decide if this is the right place for you. Let’s get started:

Off-Resort Wedding Venues In Punta Cana

Do you always dream of having somewhere unique for your destination wedding but aren’t sure of the best way to go about it? Punta Cana has some amazing options for you! Wedding venues offer so many amazing benefits:

  1. They’ll take care of all the event planning for you. Basically, you just tell them what you’re ideas are, and they’ll put it all together. Beautiful decor, decadent flowers, and little details to make your wedding day extra special.
  2. Wedding venues are restaurants first so they have amazing food! You and your guests will be drooling over your wedding menu.
  3. The locations are beautiful, beachside properties that will look absolutely stunning in your wedding photos.
  4. Outside wedding venues offer a lot better communication than resort wedding planners. Communication in Punta Cana is always slow, but you can expect to receive a response within a week or two, as opposed to a month or two at resorts.
  5. No hidden fees. This is a big one if you’re on a tight budget or worried about the costs of a destination wedding. There are no vendor fees or big surprises. Plus they’re a lot more flexible with pricing than resorts and will help you to stay within your budget whenever possible.

It sounds pretty great, right? Too good to be true. But it’s not! That’s the best part. This can all be a reality for your own wedding day if you book at Jellyfish Restaurant in Punta Cana.

Jellyfish Restaurant in Punta Cana

I know I already gave you a ton of details about wedding venues in general, but let’s get a little more specific and talk about Jellyfish Restaurant. Easily, it is one of my favorite venues in Punta Cana.

First, their wedding planning team is top-notch. You’ll work with Isaac, Janelkis, and Gianna to plan everything from your wedding date to decor and menu options. They’ll take care of all the little details so you don’t have to stress. Enjoy your time in paradise, they’ve got you covered.

Now speaking of the menu:

Boy oh boy, does Jellyfish have the best food! Seafood, steak, pasta. Everything you order is divine. Forget about the bland buffet meals you’ll find at some resorts. Everything is made to order and will truly delight your tastebuds. As the bride and groom, be sure to plan out some time to eat during your reception because you won’t want to miss out on all this delicious cuisine.

Pro tip: Don’t plan speeches during dinner. Cameras will be on you during the speeches, and I can guarantee you won’t feel comfortable stuffing your face while everyone’s eyes are on you too.

Now, what about the wedding decor?

The good news is Jellyfish is a stunning venue all on its own so you don’t need a lot of wedding decor. But why would you skip it? It’s your chance to go all out. Whether you want cascading table runners or luscious hanging centerpieces, Jellyfish can create it for you. Want to keep it simple with some flickering candles and delicate roses? They can do that too. It’s your wedding day so have some fun with it! They’ll help you make it happen.

Now let’s see a real beach wedding!

Charae & Blake’s Wedding at Jellyfish Restaurant in Punta Cana

It’s time to meet the beautiful couple. Charae and Blake are from sunny San Diego, California. It’s quite a trip to Punta Cana from the west coast, but it’s definitely worth it once you get here!

Their wedding was spectacular! If you’re ready for a little decor inspiration, it’s coming your way. For their centerpieces, they had tall glass flower vases, standing almost two feet tall. The vases were filled halfway with water and topped with beautiful greenery and white flowers. Combined with the mirror tables and transparent Chiavari chairs, this look is stunning!

Speaking of stunning:

Charae was the most beautiful bride! And Blake was a handsome groom, too. Together, they were smoking! You could feel the fire between them when they looked at each other. From the first look to the ceremony and all the way to the end of the reception, they were beaming with joy. How could you not be when you’re celebrating such a special day with all of your closest family and friends.

Their wedding ended with an entertaining crazy hour, a hilarious bouquet and garter toss, and I can’t forget to mention the hand-rolled cigars. It was definitely a night to remember!

So what do you say? Are you ready to see more photos? Here you go!
