Jellyfish Beach Restaurant is a beautiful wedding venue in Punta Cana. If you’re looking for an off-resort venue or you’re looking for a wedding photographer, you’ve come to the right place. Here, I’ll tell you all about Jellyfish Beach Restaurant, and I’ll show you some wedding photos from Cassie and Jack’s gorgeous wedding there.
Here’s a little snapshot:
Jellyfish Beach Restaurant
This beautiful restaurant is located on Bavaro Beach between Lopesan Costa Bavaro and Melia Caribe. It’s a perfect beach location! You’ll have fantastic views of the white sand, turquoise water, and luscious palm trees that Punta Cana is so famous for.
But:
It’s not just the view that makes this place special. The restaurant is gorgeous, too. It has a rustic, beachy vibe, while also maintaining an air of elegance. You’ll walk in greeted by adorable turtles, followed by an entryway of tinkling white seashells. Once you’re inside the restaurant, decorated with flowers and greenery for your wedding day, you will be blown away. Their wedding decor team always does an incredible job!
Actually, their entire wedding planning team is amazing. Isaac will help you decide on a wedding package and get you booked for the day. Gianna will take care of the wedding decor to bring your vision to life. And Janelkis will be with you on your wedding day to ensure everything is running smoothly and on time. Honestly, you can relax with these three on your team. They’ve got you covered.
Also:
The food at Jellyfish Beach Restaurant is delicious! Seriously. Everything on the menu is amazing. For your wedding dinner, you’ll choose from 5 different menus, and they have a special list of vegetarian options, too. Be sure to try the chicken and mushroom pasta! Yum!! Or you can really wow your guests with a seafood grill that includes lobster, shrimp, octopus, and so much more! Whatever you decide for your wedding menu, you won’t be disappointed!!
Wedding Planning in the Dominican Republic
Whenever you’re planning a wedding in a different country, it’s important to remember that the planning process will look very different than it does back home.
While a lot of things may seem similar (like speaking English or paying in US Dollars), the actual details and wedding planning process can catch you off guard. This is the case whether you book a private venue or a resort so I think it’s important to talk about. That way, you know what to expect and can avoid any feelings of overwhelm or frustration leading up to your wedding day.
The biggest differences when planning a destination wedding in Punta Cana will come from communication and timing.
First of all, know that communication is not going to be instant. It may take a couple of weeks to receive a response to your emails and phone calls. That’s totally normal, so don’t freak out.
When it comes to timing:
Most of the details (if not all of them) are confirmed at your tasting just a couple of days before your wedding.
You’ll confirm the food and drink menu, transportation, seating cheat, decor, timeline, and music at this meeting. I know it might sound crazy – but that’s really how it works. So that means you have plenty of time to work on these details, and you don’t have to stress about getting everything done as soon as you book your date. Follow along with our Punta Cana Wedding Checklist to help you space out the planning process.
Now I know it might sound scary to plan a wedding this way (especially for type A personalities), but I promise you, it will all be worth it! Your wedding is going to be beautiful. You, your new husband, and your guests will have an amazing time! Everything will fall into place. And best of all… you’ll have memories to last a lifetime!
Cassie & Jack’s Beautiful Wedding at Jellyfish Beach Restaurant
Alright, so you’ve already seen quite a few wedding photos from their day, but I’m about to show you so many more. Their wedding is too beautiful not to share!
First, Cassie got ready with her bridesmaids in the private bridal suite at Jellyfish. Then, we took them to the beach to pop some champagne and make a toast. Shortly after that, once Cassie was back in the bridal suite to finish hair and makeup, Jack arrived, and we are able to start his getting ready session. This was extra special because Cassie surprised her groom with a plane ticket to Paris and tickets to the PSG vs. Lyon soccer match. What a great wedding gift, right?
But of course, that wasn’t the main event. We were here for a wedding!
When it was time for their beach ceremony, emotions were running high. The bride looked beautiful, and the groom couldn’t hold back his tears. Neither could the bridal party or the wedding guests. But why should they?
They said I Do under a blue sky and with that gorgeous view I mentioned earlier. After the ceremony, we took family photos and couples photos, and then it was time for their wedding reception. Of course, it was a blast with heartfelt speeches, cake cutting, and plenty of dancing. Oh, and you can’t miss the fire show!
