Finding the right resort or venue for your destination wedding in Punta Cana is no easy task. When you can’t see the places in person, it makes it even more difficult. You’re relying solely on the information you find online. That’s why I try to show you real weddings in Punta Cana and give you as many details as possible to help make your decision easier. Here we’re looking at a real wedding at Grand Palladium Punta Cana. I’ll tell you a bit about the resort and then show you some photos from Jill and David’s wedding. You won’t want to miss it!

Grand Palladium Punta Cana Resort & Spa

If you’re looking for a fun, affordable resort in Punta Cana, then this all-inclusive property is a great option. It’s less than 20 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport and is located on one of the most famous beaches in the Dominican Republic: Bavaro Beach. Get ready to soak up the sunshine! (Just don’t forget your sunscreen.)

To put it simply:

I like this resort. It’s not super fancy, but it has everything you need to enjoy your vacation. I consider it a good “starter” resort. If it’s your first time coming to the island, or your first time staying in an all-inclusive resort, I think you’ll enjoy your stay. It’s an easy place to be.

The facilities are good, the rooms are good, the food is good. Nothing is excellent or over-the-top amazing, but you can definitely have a good time here.

Plus, the resort is HUGE! When you stay at Grand Palladium Punta Cana, you also have access to the Grand Palladium Bavaro Suites and Grand Palladium Palace. This means you can go to 13 different restaurants, 25 bars, and 6 pools. Be prepared for lots of walking! And be patient while waiting for the trains and golf carts that take you from one place to another.

So how do you decide which resort to stay at?

What’s the Best Palladium Resort in Punta Cana?

This is a question I get all the time! It can be tricky comparing the different Palladium resorts online, so I’m here to help!

First of all, I’ll always recommend the luxury properties first. They offer better service, nicer amenities, and higher quality food and drinks. TRS Turquesa and TRS Cap Cana are the luxury hotels within the Palladium Punta Cana category. They’re adults only, but they’re also more expensive so if you’re working with a tighter budget, you’ll want to choose between the Grand Palladium properties instead.

So which one do you choose?

Let’s start with the Grand Palladium Punta Cana. This side is mostly family-oriented. You’ll have the kid’s clubs and family-friendly activities here. It’s usually the cheapest option because the rooms are the most outdated (but who really spends their vacation in the room anyway?)

Grand Palladium Bavaro Suites is the largest section and is usually referred to as the “party section.” Here, you’ll find the 24-hour sports bar, the theater, and loud music pretty much all day long. I wouldn’t recommend this section if you have young kids, but it can be a lot of fun for a lively group of friends.

Grand Palladium Palace is the top tier of these three resorts. It’s the smallest section and most of the rooms are close to the beach. The spa and the gym are located in this section as well as The Secret adults-only pool, which is open until midnight.

Remember, when you stay at any of these resorts, you get access to all three. If you stay at TRS Turquesa, you’ll have access to the Grand Palladium properties, too.

No matter which one you choose, you’re going to have a wonderful vacation.

Jill and David’s Wedding at Grand Palladium Punta Cana

Now let’s talk about the weddings at Grand Palladium. They do things a little differently from most resorts when it comes to the booking process. You’ll actually select your wedding date and ceremony time first before selecting a wedding package and connecting with a wedding planner.

Be sure to select the best time of day for your wedding ceremony based on the time of year you’re getting married.

From there, you can select your wedding packages based on the details that are important to you and the number of guests you’re expecting. Then, you’ll be able to choose your wedding ceremony and reception locations as well as all the details to include for your day.

Jill and David got married in the garden gazebo and had their reception in the Arrecife Restaurant. These are both great locations! The garden gazebo provides shade from the hot sun, has a gorgeous view overlooking the beach, and looks great in photos. Arrecife is a nice, comfortable restaurant by the beach, and is perfect for some dinner, dancing, and wedding fun! What more could you ask for?

Now let me introduce you to the happy couple:

Jill and David are from a small town in Massachusetts called Fairhaven. They actually went to the same high school, but it wasn’t until years later that they reconnected and started a relationship.

They’re a fun, easygoing couple and were just hoping to have a good time in Punta Cana with their family and friends. I’d say it was successful because their wedding was a blast!
