Let’s start there, and then I’ll tell you more about Dreams Punta Cana in case you’re considering this all-inclusive resort for your own wedding. Finally, I’ll show you even more photos from their wedding day.

Dreams Punta Cana Wedding – Araceli & Alex

There is nothing we love more than capturing the love between two people. Especially on their wedding day. Luckily, we were able to do just that on Araceli and Alex’s wedding day. The beautiful couple tied the knot on February 23rd, 2019 at Dreams Punta Cana. It was an amazing day filled with warmth and affection.

Araceli and Alex got married right on the beach, with the stunning turquoise waves crashing in the background. Their ceremony decor was clean and simple, with white linen chair covers and a white gazebo overlooking the water. Sometimes, nature is the best decor!

After the ceremony and photo session, we headed to the Himitsu Terrace for their wedding reception. It’s the largest terrace at Dreams Punta Cana which means there’s plenty of space for guests to dance and enjoy the evening! Plus, there’s an amazing view of the gardens down below.

Araceli and Alex danced the night away, laughing with their guests, and celebrating their love!

Here are a few photos from their wedding day so you can join in on the fun:

Don’t worry! I’ll show you more photos in just a bit. But first, let’s dive into the resort experience at Dreams Punta Cana.

Dreams Punta Cana Resort & Spa

Looking for a fun, relaxing vacation in the Dominican Republic? Dreams Punta Cana is a family-friendly resort, with plenty of activities for all ages.

The hotel has 620 rooms, which is a pretty standard size for resorts in Punta Cana. Not too big, and not too small. The pool is huge! It spans the entire length of the resort, from the lobby to the beach. In the age of COVID, this is perfect for social distancing. You can always find a space for yourself.

I wouldn’t book at Dreams Punta Cana if your main goal is to stay in a fancy, luxurious room. The hotel was built in 2005 so the rooms are not the newest or most elegant. (Try their brand new Dreams Macao Beach property instead.)

However, the grounds at Dreams Punta Cana are breathtaking. And if your goal is to lounge by the pool, play in the waves, and enjoy good food and good service, then this hotel will meet your every need.

There are nine restaurants and nine bars, none of which require a reservation (but some are adults-only). They usually rotate which restaurants are open each day to give you a nice variety throughout your trip. One of my favorite things about this resort is the Coco Cafe which is open 24/7. You never know when you’ll want a late-night snack!

I also love that you can bring your furry friend! That’s right. Dreams Punta Cana allows small dogs (under 22 lbs.) onto the property! And they’ll even provide dog bowls at the outdoor restaurants so your little buddy can have some food and water. Isn’t that precious? If you’d rather not leave home without your pup, then this is a great resort for you!

Now, what about Dreams Palm Beach?

Dreams Punta Cana vs. Dreams Palm Beach

Trying to decide between the two? Well, let me help you out. First of all, Dreams Punta Cana will be a little more expensive. But try not to focus on price alone. Let’s look at three other main factors: location, the beach, and the food.

Location

Dreams Punta Cana is located in Uvero Alto which is about 40 minutes from the airport. It’s a quieter, more secluded area.

On the other hand, Dreams Palm Beach is in Bavaro, about 20 minutes from the airport, and nearby to dozens of bars and restaurants. If you’re the type who likes to get off the resort and explore, then Dreams Palm Beach will be better for you. This is the most popular area for tourists and locals.

The Beach

The ocean is a lot rougher at Dreams Punta Cana, and the sand is a darker, golden color. You’ll have tons of waves to play in throughout your trip, but they can get strong. If you’re looking to do some surfing, then this is an excellent beach for you.

Otherwise, if you prefer a calm sea with hardly any waves, then Dreams Palm Beach will be better for you. If you’re looking for the soft, white sand that Punta Cana is known for, then Dreams Palm Beach is the place for you.

The Food

The food at both locations is good. Standard for all-inclusive resorts. You won’t be blown away by either, since there’s nothing too extravagant, but you won’t be left starving either. I always prefer the Japanese restaurants for the show and experience. Plus the food is cooked right in front of you, so it’s always hot. Otherwise, you’ll find plenty of options at the buffet. Just don’t expect your meal to be steaming hot.

Final Verdict

You really can’t go wrong with either resort! Both are lovely properties. It really just depends on which location and beach style you prefer. You’ll have an amazing vacation either way!

Now that we’ve cleared that up, let’s rewind back to Araceli and Alex’s Dreams Punta Cana wedding. I know you’re ready to see more from their wedding day!
