What could be better than a beach wedding at Kukua? Just picture this: Soft, white sand between your toes. Luscious palm trees blowing in the breeze overhead. Sparkling turquoise water in the background. You and your love holding hands, staring into each other’s eyes as you recite your vows and become husband and wife. And that’s only the ceremony!
Head to your wedding reception, and you’ll have stunning decor, cold, refreshing drinks, and a wedding menu that all of your guests will be raving about. And I can’t forget to mention their stellar wedding planning team who will guide you through the whole process so you never feel lost or alone planning a wedding in another country.
Kukua Beach Club is a dream come true! But don’t just take my word for it. Check out Dannielle and Josh’s wedding photos down below and decide for yourself. Here’s a little preview, but then we’ll pause to talk about the beach!
The Beach at Kukua Beach Club
It’s breathtaking! I already mentioned the sand, palm trees, and ocean view (which let me remind you, looks like something out of a postcard) but that’s not even the best part. The beach at Kukua is completely private for you and your guests. That means no sweaty men in speedos blocking your path down the aisle, and no wasted women screaming “Congratulations” in the middle of your vows. (Unless they’re on your guest list, of course.)
Now let me clarify:
There will almost always be people walking on the beach down by the shore. There may even be people swimming in the water. Kukua is nestled in between the RIU and Bahia Principe resorts so you can expect hotel guests on either side of the property. But the good news is, they won’t be allowed into your event or up anywhere near the ceremony location. Chances are you won’t even notice them.
And one more thing:
Did you know the beach at Kukua can fit up to 300 people? While most destination weddings have a guest list closer to 25-50 people, Kukua is more than capable of handling your big event if that’s what you’re planning. Whatever you envision for your beach wedding in Punta Cana, they can make it happen.
Beach Wedding at Kukua – Dannielle & Josh
These two had a dream wedding at Kukua! They are from Michigan and traveled with about 70 of their favorite people to celebrate their love in Punta Cana.
Their wedding decor was a mix between classic and rustic, with wooden tables, cross-back chairs, and light blue accents. Hanging centerpieces are a signature element of Kukua’s wedding decor, and they do not disappoint. Just take a look below!
Tears were flowing from the very beginning of the day as Dannielle and Josh each read a letter from the other during their getting ready. Emotions are high during this time anyway so taking a moment to pause and read a note from your partner is so romantic and beautiful.
After the tears had dried, hair and makeup were set, and they were both dressed and ready to go, Dannielle and Josh met by the pool for their first look. What happened next? You guessed it! More tears, of course! How could you not tear up seeing your groom for the first time?
Then it was on to the ceremony where they quite literally “tied the knot” and became husband and wife! Now it’s time to celebrate!
But first:
If you’re not sure about doing a first look for your own wedding, keep reading!
Why You Should Have a First Look
There are hundreds of reasons to have a first look before your wedding ceremony!
First of all, the first look takes so much stress off the moment when you’re walking down the aisle. It’ll just be the two of you so you get to express all of the emotions that you’d otherwise have to fight back if you were in front of all your family and friends. That means the groom can express all of his emotions, too!
But make no mistake:
The first look doesn’t take away from the big moment walking down the aisle. That big reaction you’ve been waiting for. You and your partner will still feel those emotions. Excited. Full of nerves. Overwhelmed with a happiness that makes you want to burst into tears and jump into your partner’s arms. But you’ll actually get to do that twice!
Finally, when you have a first look, you get a lot more photos of the two of you! After the ceremony, there’s not usually a lot of time to take photos before the sun sets and you’re rushed to your reception – which is great because you definitely want to enjoy a good meal and spend time dancing with your guests – but when it’s all said and done, you’ll want to have more photos of the two of you together. Holding each other. Gazing into each other’s eyes. Kissing. Those are the photos you’re going to want to frame. And if you have a first look, you can ensure that there will be lots of couple’s photos to choose from!
So now that we’ve cleared that up, it’s time to show you Dannielle and Josh’s beach wedding at Kukua. Take a look below!
