Get ready for the newest attraction in Punta Cana! Katmandu Park is a brand-new theme park with fun and adventure around every corner. It’s unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before.
Below, I’ll take you on a little tour of the park so you can get a better ahead of what it’s all about. Then I’ll tell you about the main attractions and activities. Finally, I’ll show you where to buy tickets so you can make the most of your vacation in Punta Cana!
Katmandu Park Punta Cana
Sure, you’re traveling to Punta Cana for a beach vacation… but why not try out something different? Whether it’s your first time visiting or you’ve been here dozens of times before, after a few days lounging on the beach, you’ll be craving some adventure. Now, I recommend booking a photoshoot to capture memories of your vacation. But then after that, you’ll definitely want to check out this awesome theme park!
Katmandu Park is designed to transport visitors to the mystical land of Kathmandu, Nepal. It has beautifully designed architecture and intricate details that will have you feeling like you stepped out of the Caribbean and into a different world altogether. But we’re not going to this park for the architecture. Here it’s all about the experience! And the experience is going to be unlike anything you’ve ever seen or done before.
The park features 8 unique attractions alongside different restaurants, bars, and shops that are sure to delight the entire family. So let’s get into the attractions since that is where you’re going to have the most fun!

Attractions at Katmandu Park
There are a ton of exciting rides, activities, and games to play at Katmandu Park. I’ll give you a little tour of the most popular attractions, but you really have to try them out for yourself to discover the magic of this park. Anyways, here’s a little taste:
Mini-Golf
This is something us locals have been asking for for a while! Punta Cana has a dozen golf courses, but no mini-golf. Well, that is… until now! At Katmandu Park, you’ll find two 18-hole putt-putt golf courses.
You can choose your own adventure, going through the Earth Realm or the Sky Realm. The Sky Realm starts in an ice tunnel, which is fully air-conditioned (if that’s more your style.) But the Earth Realm course was my favorite as you get to trek up a mini mountain (the Himalayas, perhaps?) and along the side of a waterfall.
Both sides are equally challenging – and equally fun! The course takes about an hour to complete but could take more depending on your group size and skill level.

High Point Adventure
This is an exciting and nerve-wracking obstacle course where you’re suspended in the air, completing different walking challenges. You’ll be crossing bridges, ropes, and cargo nets trying to get to the top. You’ll be harnessed in, so it’s completely safe, but tell that to your knees that will be shaking throughout the journey.
To be honest, I’m afraid of heights so I didn’t try this one out, but it looks like it could be a lot of fun – especially if you’re an adrenaline junkie. Get to the highest point on the course for some amazing views of Punta Cana!
Note: You must wear close-toed shoes to go on the course so dress accordingly.
Quadagon
If you’re looking for the thrill of an obstacle course but would rather stay on the ground, then Quadagon will be the attraction for you. This one’s a blast! I’m trying to think of the best way to describe it…
Remember that show Wipeout? It’s kind of like one of those courses… but not as intense. So it’s sort of more like a Mcdonald’s Play Place. But for all ages (adults, that means you, too!). Or maybe imagine that but also combined with a Ninja Warrior course. Okay, it feels like I’m not doing it justice here.
Basically, it’s all these different obstacles with different checkpoints, and your goal is to get through the course as fast as possible. You’ll run, jump, balance, and climb to get through the different obstacles. I think you just have to try it for yourself. It is seriously so much fun!
There’s also a smaller course upstairs for the little ones – as well as some arcade games like air hockey and a claw machine. If you’re traveling with younger kids, be sure to check out it. Let them work off some of that energy while you have a cold, refreshing cocktail at the bar.
Note:
If you’re like me and strictly rock flip-flops on vacation, be sure to bring a pair of socks with you here as they’re required for this course.
4D Adventures
Okay, here’s the deal:
There are a few other virtual reality attractions at Katmandu Park, but I can’t really tell you about them without spoiling the surprise. I can tell you that they’re really cool, and you won’t find anything else like it in the Dominican Republic.
You can check out their website for some hints, but you still won’t fully understand until you try them out for yourself. Basically, you can expect 4D interactive adventures with games, rides, and storylines to fully draw you in. So what are you waiting for?
